Anna Sui is an American fashion designer who’s brands includes clothing, footwear, fragrances, eyewear, cosmetics, accessories, and home goods. Sui attended Parsons and then was hired by Charlie’s Girls, a juniors clothing label. She started her brand in her apartment in 1979. Sui always held a passion for the rock ‘n’ roll and grunge aesthetic, and had a desire to make clothes for music icons and those who attend their concerts. By the late 1980s, the Anna Sui brand had become immensely popular as the company expanded. By 1990 iconic stars were spotted wearing her styles, such as Madonna in Vogue Magazine.
